Yesterday we went to a beautiful park for a picnic with the cradle roll Sabbath School group! The park is only about two miles from our house, and it is one of our favorites for walking in the woods! They also have a paved path, lots of playgrounds and picnic tables, and baseball fields! Jason got to carry Isaac on our hike through the woods!
Along this trail you can see the nests of
Night Herons. We even saw their light blue colored egg shells on the ground that had fallen out of the nest when their chicks hatched. We could also see bird droppings on the plants under the nests. There are so many things you can see in nature if you just observe carefully! We also enjoyed the wonderful smell of the bushes with little white flowers and honey suckle vines which are in full bloom right now.
What'cha looking at?? They both looked up at the same time to see something...and it was sooooo cute!
Isaac loves to be outside! I take him to a park near our house for walks sometimes, and he really enjoys looking at all the trees, watching the squirrels hopping around on the trees, and listening to the birds singing. He hasn't been bitten by a mosquito yet, and I hope we can avoid that from happening this summer!
After we walked for a while with him facing forward in the carrier, he started getting sleepy! We turned him around and within a minute he was fast asleep!!
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! What a great walk in the woods! We had such a nice time together!
