Our garden is producing!

Here is one of our lantana plants! It's so pretty right now! It is surrounded by some more lantana that are waiting to be planted, plus our little transplanted tomato "sucker" plants plucked off of the ones in the garden.

I cannot believe how many tomatoes are on our plants! They are really producing a lot!

We have several different types of tomatoes! --Regular big ones, romas, and grape tomatoes!

I need to start looking up squash and zucchini recipes with all these vegetables growing!

This is a type of sage that attracts butterflies! On the right side of the back yard, we have a whole flower bed dedicated to plants for butterflies!

Easter Fun! ~ 2011

Over Easter weekend, we enjoyed a fun time with Isaac's GiGi and Pappy; Uncle Justin and Aunt Heather and Brady and Ruthanne; and Granny! Isaac loved exploring some new toys at GiGi and Pappy's house.

Isaac and GiGi play with some fun beads in the play room at their house!

At Uncle Justin and Aunt Heather's house, Brady and Ruthanne have some really fun play balls to romp around in! Isaac thought they were awesome!

Are you really taking a picture? It's hard to catch how they were kicking the balls around and throwing them up in the air, but you can imagine . . .

Ruthanne shared her special swing with Isaac! He loves to swing!

Swinging with cousin Brady!

Isaac shared Daddy's lap with his cousin, Brady! They were really giggling and squirming around --having a good time!

The sun was shining so beautifully on Grandma's garden!

Isaac, Daddy, and Isaac's great-grandma!

The Easter egg hunt was soo much fun! Isaac really got into it and found about 18 eggs with the help of Daddy and Mommy!

Isaac loves watermelon! Thank you for sharing your watermelon, Granny!

And, thanks for sharing your watermelon, Pappy!
And . . . thanks for sharing your watermelon, Daddy! Isaac was making the rounds getting those juicy, sweet bites of watermelon!

Texas Welcome Center!

On our way back from visiting family over Easter weekend, we stopped by the Texas welcome center!
Isaac enjoyed looking at the giant statue of an alligator snapping turtle! I'm glad it wasn't real!

The Texas welcome center has a beautiful boardwalk where you can take a walk and view many types of plants and trees that are native to this part of Texas and Louisiana. Plus, we saw 4-5 alligators (not statues) !

Here is one of the alligators we saw! It was a juvenile, but not a baby. Cool!

They have a giant star at the rest stop and so we took a few photos!

Isaac looks so tiny compared to the huge star!

Brushing my teeth!

Isaac has six teeth now! Here are a few photos of him learning how to brush his teeth for the first time! We are starting to help him brush twice a day now. Hopefully, he will continue this habit as he gets more and more teeth!

Aquarium Fun!

We took Isaac to the aquarium last weekend, and it was lots of fun! We went with our friends from church and their two little boys! Isaac was constantly pointing up at the fake fish that decorate the ceiling at the aquarium. He was desperately wanting to touch those! He really enjoyed looking in the tanks, too!
Here comes a sting ray swimming by!

Here's Isaac with Arlo, they're watching the penguins!

Isaac couldn't wait to climb in the "shark cage" even with a bunch of other people already inside it!

He got extremely excited when we walked in the gift shop! They had a huge display of stuffed animals! He squealed with delight and then pulled bunches of them out of the bins!

He loved the little blue penguin stuffed animal birds!

Group shot! Jennifer, Arlo, Caleb, Arlo, Jr., Jason, Debbie, & Isaac! We had such a great time together! It was a great day to be at the aquarium!
