Walking at Seabrook

Seabrook is one of our favorite parks to visit on a bright sunny day! If you head south towards Kemah, you'll come to Seabrook and its coastal beauty. It has ten parks and more than 100 miles of walking and hiking paths! Parts of the paths where we usually go walking are along the Gulf Coast, which is part sandy and part rocky in this area. There is also a huge fishing pier at our favorite park, too!
He's a big old turtle!
We came across this red headed woodpecker while we were walking, and I quickly snapped this photo.
Then, Jason grabbed the camera and took some photos of this great blue heron, who was perched on an old crag, either thinking of roosting for the night or surveying the channel for a good fishing spot.
This is not Galveston, but with this sandy spot, it almost looks like it. Isaac and Daddy enjoyed poking around the beach and chasing each other around.

It is important that we never miss an opportunity to throw some rocks, or in this case shells, into the water. It is difficult to get Isaac away from this rock/shell throwing activity! He LOVES it!
